TR36 high-performance Cruiser trimaran
If, like Waarschip Composites, you’ve got performance at the top of your list of requirements, then the TR36 high-performance trimaran is the solution for you. The trimaran’s main hull has a 1:10 beam to length ratio, which is wide enough to carry the weight, with the least wetted area. The hull is also narrow enough to cut through the water before the trimaran starts to ‘fly’. 24 knots is achievable with 17 knots’ wind!
How deep the bow of a boat dives underwater in the waves depends on weight and buoyancy. Bows which overhang mean extra weight, which means they dive deeper. ‘Reversed’ bows are lighter and therefore dive far less into the waves.
The TR36 has a classic layout, which makes optimum use of the space available.
